We cut these palazzo trousers with generous width through the leg so the linen hangs clear of the skin. The Palazzo Green print runs across the yardage, broken only by the side seams. An elastic waist holds the rise where you set it, adjusted with a self-fabric drawcord.

• Wide palazzo leg. The leg runs straight and wide from the hip down to a broad hem. That extra cloth gives the linen enough weight to swing as you walk, venting warm air through the open cuffs.
• Adjustable waist casing. We gathered the top edge into an elastic band and threaded a flat tie through the front. It sits flat across the middle without pinching, so you can knot it loose or cinch it tight.
• Deep side pockets. The pockets sit right in the side seams, deep enough to take keys or a phone without pulling on the outer line of the trouser. They stay flat when your hands are out.
