We cut these wide-leg palazzo pants from a lightweight woven linen that stays cool as the day warms up. The blue stripe pattern runs vertically down the loose leg to a plain flat hem. A soft elastic waistband adjusts with a self-fabric drawstring for a relaxed, custom fit across the hips.

• Gathered drawstring waist. We built the top with a wide band of encased elastic that gathers the linen evenly around the waist. A matching pull cord lets you tie it loose or snug without binding.
• Wide palazzo leg. The cut drops straight and wide from the high hip down to the floor. The open weave lets air move freely, while the fabric settles into soft, natural folds as you walk.
• In-seam side pockets. We set deep slant pockets directly into the side seams so they lie flat against the hip when empty. They give you room for a phone or keys without pulling the waist.
• Linen care and wash. Machine wash on a gentle cycle or hand wash in cool water to protect the blue stripe. Hang the trousers on a line to dry and steam iron while still slightly damp.
