We cut these with the wide drop of a harem pant and the straight sweep of a palazzo leg. The linen blend holds its shape while venting heat through the wide openings. A navy base with scattered white dots breaks up the yardage across the full cut.

• Elastic waist and tie. We build the top with a wide elastic band and an adjustable drawstring cord. It rests flat on the hips and stays put without pinching when you move or sit.
• Harem volume through legs. The rise is dropped low to create a full, baggy shape that falls straight down to the hem. The cloth hangs loose around the calves and ankles rather than bunching up.
