We cut these trousers with a high rise and deep front pleats that open into a wide, straight palazzo leg. An elastic back waist and a front zip with hook-and-eye closure anchor the band, while the linen blend holds the Sun Floral pattern across the full drop to the hem. Two slant pockets sit flush along the side seams.

• Front pleats and rise. Deep pleats run down from the high waistband to give the linen blend room through the hips. A front zip with hook-and-eye closure keeps the waistband clean, supported by belt loops and back darts.
• Elastic back waistband. The back section of the waist is fully gathered with elastic. It expands when you sit and stays flat against the small of the back without pulling the front pleats out of line.
• Palazzo leg and hem. The legs drop wide from the hip down to an open hem. The linen weave allows heat to escape while the weight of the wide hem keeps the fabric swinging cleanly as you move.
• Washing and linen care. Hand wash or run on a gentle machine cycle in lukewarm water. Hang on a line to air dry instead of using a heated dryer, and use a warm steam iron to smooth the pleats.
