We cut these cropped trousers with a deep dropped crotch and rounded lantern legs that bow out before tapering near the calf. The green linen blend is lightweight and open-weave, meant for warm days. An elastic waistband keeps the top flat while the legs carry the volume.

• Dropped crotch cut. The low rise leaves the hips loose and lets the fabric fall away from the body. Subtle vertical panel seams shape the rounded lantern leg, giving the wide cut structure instead of plain bulk.
• Lightweight green linen. We chose a plain-weave linen blend dyed in an earthy green. It allows air through easily, wrinkles naturally through the day, and softens each time you wash it without losing its dry hand.
• Elastic waistband. A wide band of gathered elastic sits at the waist without drawstrings or hardware. It pulls on flat, holds its place against the hips, and leaves room to move without binding.
• Side seam pockets. Deep pockets sit right into the forward side seams so they stay out of the way of the hip drape. They hold small items without pulling the cropped hem out of line.
