We cut these cropped harem pants with a wide, rounded lantern leg and an open linen weave that vents warm air. The elastic waistband includes a drawstring to adjust the rise. Cotton lace borders each side pocket and bands the gathered ankles for a clean finish.

• Lantern leg shape. The pattern balloons out through the calf before drawing back inward above the ankle. This loose barrel cut keeps the linen fabric off your shins and lets the leg move freely without clinging.
• Lace pocket trim. Two deep side pockets sit flat along the front seams. We finished the pocket openings with the same stitched lace trim found at the ankles, anchoring the edges so they hold their shape.
