We cut these trousers with an exaggerated barrel leg that sits far away from the body. The high rise anchors the wide silhouette, while dropped pockets gather extra fabric through the hips. Water blue checks break across the pale ground, woven in a light linen blend that softens after washing.

• High waist cut. An elasticated high rise keeps the waistband secure at the natural waistline. This anchor allows the heavy yardage beneath it to fall loose without pulling down when you walk.
