We cut this pair with extra volume through the hip and thigh before gathering the hem into an elastic cuff. The black linen blend hangs loosely and softens after a few wash cycles. An elastic waistband with a matching drawstring keeps the high rise anchored without pinching.

Balloon leg cut. The leg bows wide from the gathered waist and pulls back in at the hem. It creates a loose lantern silhouette that stays off the skin and vents warm air as you walk.
Gathered high waistband. We set a wide elastic band inside the waist casing and added an exterior drawstring. You can pull the cords tight to set the rise high or knot them lower on the hip.
