We cut these wide-leg pants from a light linen blend in dark gray and white plaid. The elastic waist pulls on without hardware, while the legs fall straight to an open hem bordered in white lace. Two deep side pockets sit flat in the seams.

• Wide leg with lace. The cut falls straight from the hip into a generous leg that leaves plenty of room around the knees and calves. We finished the lower edge with a strip of white lace trim that softens the hem line.
• Elastic waist and pockets. A gathered elastic band sits high on the waist to hold the trousers in place without buttons or zips. We set deep pockets into both side seams so you can carry keys or a phone without pulling the drape.
• Linen blend weave. The dark gray and white gingham is woven from a lightweight linen blend. The cloth is soft against the skin, lets air pass through freely, and softens further each time you run it through the wash.
