We cut these harem bloomers from midweight corduroy printed with pale dots on a deep coffee base. The waist pulls on over the hips with an elastic channel and a drawstring. Volume pools down the outer leg and draws back in with a gathered cuff at the lower calf. Side pockets sit deep along the side seams.

• Elastic drawstring waistband. An elastic band stays flat against the waist, backed by a working drawstring. You pull the cord to set the rise where you want it. It holds without binding during long sits.
• Lantern leg shape. The legs balloon out through the thigh and knee before gathering tightly above the ankle. This lantern shape traps warmth against cool drafts and gives the corduroy room to pleat naturally.
• Corduroy fabric and dot print. We picked a midweight corduroy with fine ridges that soften after washing. The dot pattern breaks up the dark coffee ground, giving the ribbed texture extra depth without adding bulk to the drape.
