We cut this pair from a midweight corduroy that holds warmth when the weather turns cool. The leg arches outward through the calf and tapers gently toward the ankle, framed by contrasting plaid panels set into the side seams. An elastic waist with a flat drawstring keeps the rise secure without pinching.

• Curved barrel leg. The leg silhouette bows out past the knee and curves back inward at the hem. Inset plaid panels follow the outer seam to anchor the shape and add weight to the drape.
