We cut these trousers with a bowed barrel shape in sturdy brown corduroy. Side panels in contrasting plaid break up the ribs along the outer leg. The elastic waistband pulls on without fuss, anchored by a matching drawstring so the high rise sits where you want it.

• Barrel leg shape. The cut curves outward through the thigh and tapers back toward the ankle. That rounded volume gives you plenty of room to move without dragging fabric around your shoes.
• Corduroy and plaid panels. We built the main body from thick, ribbed brown corduroy that holds warmth in cooler weather. Contrast woven plaid runs down the outer side seams to add texture.
• Elastic drawstring waistband. The waistband stretches fully over the hips and cinches down with an integrated cord. It sits high on the natural waist without binding when you sit down.
