We cut these cold-weather pants with a curved barrel leg and set plaid fabric panels down the outer seams. The lake blue corduroy has a visible wale that traps warmth, while the pull-on waist stays flexible through the day. Two deep front pockets sit flat against the hip.

• Curved barrel leg. The leg bows out below the hip and curves back inward toward the ankle. This shape gives your knees room without leaving excess hem dragging on the floor.
