We built these cold-weather lounge pants around a wide barrel leg. The cotton-blend fleece holds its curved shape while the brushed interior keeps heat close. An elastic waistband anchors the top so the heavy fabric hangs freely without pulling.

• Fleece lined cotton blend. The outer face is a smooth cotton knit that resists pilling, paired with a soft brushed fleece interior. It gives the trouser enough weight to hold its bow shape through the leg while trapping warmth.
• Curved barrel leg shape. We cut the pattern wide through the thigh and knee, then taper it slightly toward the ankle. This creates a rounded volume that breaks cleanly over sneakers instead of pooling on the floor.
• Elastic pull-on waist. A wide band of soft elastic sits flat against the waist. It stretches when you sit or walk without bunching or pinching, keeping the rise anchored securely throughout the day.
• Side seam pockets. Deep pockets sit right along the side seams so your hands can rest naturally inside. We stitched the pocket bags flat against the interior to keep the hip line smooth and uncluttered.
