These lounge pants combine the room of a wide leg with a barrel taper near the hem. We cut them from a dense cotton-polyester fleece that holds warmth through cold mornings. The heather gray knit stays soft inside against the leg.

• Barrel leg cut. The curve starts wide through the thigh and tapers gently toward the ankle. This shape keeps the bulk of the fleece off your footwear while leaving plenty of room through the knee.
• Soft fleece back. We chose a cotton blend with brushed fleece on the interior side. It traps air for cold-weather insulation and resists surface pilling through repeated machine wash cycles.
• Enclosed elastic waist. A wide elastic band sits flat across the middle without pinching or rolling when you sit. It adjusts to your movement through the day and holds the heavy knit securely in place.
