We cut these sweatpants with a curved barrel leg that bows out through the calf and tapers slightly at the hem. The interior is lined with brushed fleece for cooler days. A simple elastic waistband keeps the rise easy without hardware or drawstrings.

• Barrel leg shape. The outer seam curves outward through the mid-leg before tapering toward the ankle. This shape gives you the room of a wide leg without dragging extra fabric at your shoes.
• Fleece interior. We chose a cotton-blend knit with a brushed fleece back. The smooth outer face resists surface pilling, while the soft inner side traps warmth throughout the cold months.
