A relaxed cotton blend gives these pants soft weight for cooler days. We cut the leg with extra volume through the thigh that tapers slightly toward the ankle, finished with side piping along the outer seam. The waistband uses both elastic and an adjustable drawstring to rest easily on the hips without pinching.

• Curved barrel leg. The leg bows outward through the thigh and calf before narrowing at the lower hem. This creates room through the lower body while keeping the hem off the ground.
• Drawstring elastic waistband. A wide elastic band sits high on the waist. We ran an exterior drawcord through the casing so you can adjust the fit for sitting or walking.
• Cotton blend fabric. We chose a cotton-polyester knit for everyday wear. The cloth holds its shape along the curved side seams and softens over time with regular washing.
• Contrast side piping. Thin contrast trim runs down both outer seams. Side slant pockets sit flat against the hip without breaking the line of the leg.
