A cropped wide leg gives these culottes an easy, open hang through the calf. We built the top block with a soft elastic casing and a flat front tie so the waist stays put without binding. Soft stretch knit brings weight to the drape while keeping the legs loose.

Adjustable drawstring waist. We set a wide elastic band into the top seam and threaded a flat tie through the front. It sits flat against the waist, gathers evenly around the hips, and lets you reset the tension as you move.
Cropped wide leg. The cut drops straight from the hip into an open culotte shape that stops above the ankle. That extra volume lets air move around the calf, while the lower hem carries enough weight to hold its line.
Deep side pockets. Two inset pockets sit along the side seams, anchored into the waistband so they stay flat when empty. They are deep enough to carry a key or a phone without pulling the drape of the leg sideways.
Care and wash. Machine wash in cold water with similar light tones and tumble dry on low heat. The knit yarn holds its soft surface and heathered gray tone through regular cycles without needing an iron.
