We cut these palazzo pants with wide legs that fall straight from the hips to clear the shoes. An open crochet strip runs down each outer seam to vent warm air. The navy linen blend stays light, softened with each wash.

• Crochet side seams. We inserted open knit crochet panels along both outer seams. The strip runs the full length of the leg, letting air pass through the loose linen cut while keeping the side lines clean.
• Drawstring waistband. The waist gathers on an elastic band with an integrated cord. You can pull the drawstring to set the rise higher or let it settle lower on the hips without binding.
• Deep front pockets. We placed flat patch pockets on the front panels. They sit level against the linen weave so they do not add bulk at the hips when empty, but remain deep enough for daily items.
• Linen care and wash. Wash on a gentle cycle in cool water or wash by hand. Hang the pants on a line to dry naturally without a dryer, and use a steam iron over the navy linen to relax the wrinkles.
