We cut these culottes with an open, squared-off leg that finishes mid-calf. The high waistband combines enclosed elastic with a flat drawstring so you can set the tension where you want it. Dark gray yarns give the knit a muted, uniform tone.

High drawstring waist. The waistband houses a wide strip of elastic that stays flat against the skin. We added an exterior drawstring through stitched eyelets to anchor the rise without tight binding.
Cropped palazzo leg. The cut drops straight from the hip into an open culotte shape. Air moves freely around the lower leg, while the clean hem falls well short of the ankle.
Set-in side pockets. We set deep pockets directly into the side seams so they lie flat when empty. They take a phone or a key ring without dragging down the hip line.
Fabric and wash care. The knit has enough stretch to recover its shape after sitting. Wash the dark gray fabric in cold water on a gentle cycle, then line dry or tumble on low heat.
