We cut this two-piece set from a light linen blend with an open weave. The long-sleeve shirt buttons down the front with room through the shoulders, while the matching trousers hang straight from an elastic waistband down to a wide hem.

  • Shirt cut and collar. The shirt uses a classic collar and full button front, cut with dropped shoulders and long sleeves that can be rolled. It hangs loose over the waistband without pulling.
  • Elastic trouser waist. We put an elastic channel through the high waist of the pants so they sit flat without binding. Deep side pockets are set into the side seams to hold a phone or keys.
  • Wide straight leg. The pants fall straight from the hip down to an open hem, letting the linen move freely when you walk. The fabric softens with wear and allows heat to vent.
  • Linen blend care. Wash on a gentle cycle or by hand in cool water, then line dry away from direct heat. A light steam will reset the weave and soften the crinkle.
