We cut this two-piece set in a plain-weave linen blend dyed lake blue. The shirt hangs loose through the shoulders with long sleeves and a buttoned front. Down below, the pants sit high with an elastic waist and fall straight to a wide hem.

• Button front and collar. The shirt is cut boxy with dropped shoulders and a neat turn-down collar. Real buttons run down the center placket, letting you wear it closed or open over a tank.
• Elastic waistband and rise. We built the pants with a continuous elastic waistband that pulls on without hardware. The rise sits high, letting the fabric drop straight from the hips into a loose, airy leg.
• Deep side pockets. Both side seams on the pants carry inset pockets. We cut the bags deep enough to hold a phone, keys, or a wallet without pulling the waist down.
• Linen care and washing. Wash on a gentle cycle in cold or warm water, then hang the set to dry. Linen softens after every wash. Use a steam iron if you prefer a smoother finish.
