We cut these ankle pants wide through the thigh and calf, finishing the bottoms with a gathered ruffle hem. The waistband uses an encased elastic with an exterior drawstring so the rise stays where you set it. The linen blend is light, printed with water-based dot motifs that keep the weave open for warm weather.

Ruffled ankle hem. The wide palazzo leg breaks at the ankle into a gathered ruffle. An elastic tie detail shapes the lower hem, adding weight so the linen swings as you walk rather than clinging.
High drawstring waist. An encased elastic band runs through the top edge, paired with an exterior cord. You can pull the waist tight or let it sit lower on the hips without losing the loose palazzo drape.
