We cut these loose trousers with a wide smocked waistband and a dropped harem seat that tapers slightly toward the ankle. The linen weave lets air pass freely and gains softness with each wash. Our Wine Blue Floral print covers the entire cut down to a folded crisscross hem.

• Smocked high waistband. A deep band of elastic smocking sits high on the waist without digging. It stretches easily to anchor the full volume of the legs without requiring ties or metal hardware.
• Harem volume and crossover hem. We gathered the leg through the seat for generous room, then brought the fabric back in at the bottom with a layered crisscross cuff. The opening clears shoes easily while keeping the fabric clear of the ground.
• Side seam pockets. Two deep pockets sit right along the side seams. We anchored them flat so carrying small items like keys or a phone does not pull the drape of the linen out of line.
• Linen care and floral wash. The Wine Blue Floral print is set deep into the weave. Machine wash on a gentle cycle in cold water or wash by hand. Hang them up to dry without wringing to protect the linen fibres and the smocking.
