We cut these loose trousers with a wide leg that borrows the ease of a harem pant. The smocked waist gathers the cloth high and lets the volume fall through the hips, ending in a crisscross detail at the hem. The Mapleleaf Apricot print scatters warm tones across the light linen weave.

• Smocked high waistband. A wide band of elastic shirring sits flat against the waist. It gives and recovers as you move, keeping the gathers spread evenly around the hips without requiring a drawstring or zip.
