We cut these wide-leg pants from lightweight linen in pale purple, keeping the leg full from hip to hem. Inset lace bands run down the outer seams to break up the flat weave. The waistband is full elastic with a high rise that pulls on without hardware. Two inset pockets sit flat at the hips.

• Wide leg with lace panels. The leg falls straight from the seat with generous width at the hem. We set open lace inserts along the outer leg seams, venting heat while keeping the lower hem weighted so the linen swings cleanly as you step.
• High elastic waistband. The top edge is gathered on soft elastic that sits high on the waist. It pulls straight up without drawstrings or zips, spreading the tension evenly across the band so the cloth does not bind when seated.
