We cut these loose through the hips and straight through the lower hem to give the linen room to move. A pale vertical stripe runs down each outer seam of the black cloth. The waist combines an internal elastic band with an exterior tie cord so the rise stays put.

  • Waistband construction. An encased elastic band sits flat against the waist without pinching. We added a functional drawstring through the front tunnel so you can tighten the fit as the linen relaxes through the day.
  • Wide leg cut. The legs drop straight down from the outer hip into an open hem. That extra volume keeps the cloth off your skin and lets warm air pass through the weave.
  • Contrast side stripe. A contrasting tape runs down the full length of each outer leg seam. The vertical line adds visual structure to the wide profile and reinforces the side stitching.
  • Linen care. Wash by hand or on a gentle machine cycle in cool water. Hang the pants to dry away from direct heat to protect the natural weave, and use a steam iron to release wash wrinkles.
