We cut these shorts with enough volume through the leg to read like a flared skirt. Tiered panels add weight at the bottom hem so the linen blend moves without bunching. An elastic waist with a functional cord lets you set the rise where you want it. Side pockets sit flat along the seams.

• Tiered leg cut. Each leg opens wide into an A-line shape with gathered ruffle tiers. The extra yardage drops cleanly around the thighs, giving you the ease of a loose short with the swing of a gathered skirt.
• Waistband and cord. We built the top with an enclosed elastic band that stays flat against the skin. A working drawstring threads through the front casing so you can adjust the tension as the linen softens through the day.
• Side pocket construction. Deep slant pockets sit directly into the side seams. We anchor them so keys or a phone do not pull the waistband down or distort the outer line of the gathers.
• Linen blend care. Machine wash on a gentle cycle or wash by hand in cool water. Hang on a line to dry and press with steam while the fabric is slightly damp. Avoid machine dryers and bleach.
