We cut this button-down with plenty of room through the shoulders and torso. The linen blend hangs straight and vents heat through an open weave. Smocked cuffs keep the long sleeves where you push them, while pale green stripes run top to bottom.

• Smocked sleeve cuffs. The wrists finish with elastic shirring rather than a rigid button placket. You can push the sleeves up your forearms and they stay put without pinching.
• Body and chest pocket. We gave the torso an oversized cut that hangs away from the waist. A single flat pocket sits on the left chest, matched directly into the stripe pattern across the front.
• Light green stripe weave. Woven stripes in pale green and white give the linen blend a dry, light hand. The fabric softens with washing and lets air pass straight through the yarn.
• Wash and air dry. Wash on a gentle cycle or by hand in cool water, then line dry in the shade. Steam iron while the fabric is slightly damp to clear deep fold creases.
