We cut these shorts for hot days around the house and out in the sun. The smocked elastic waistband gathers plenty of volume through the hip, dropping into a wide leg opening that lets air move. Crisp orange stripes run vertical to give the relaxed shape some direction.

• Smocked waistband. Multiple rows of gathered elastic create a wide, stretchy band that sits high on the waist. It pulls straight on without drawstrings or hardware and stays flat against the skin without digging in.
• Linen blend drape. We blend linen with lyocell to keep the weave light and soft right out of the wash. The fabric vents warmth easily, wrinkles gently, and softens more with every cycle through the laundry.
