We cut these gaucho culottes with generous volume that drops straight from the hip to a cropped lower hem. The knit fabric carries enough stretch to move easily while holding its drape. An elastic drawstring waist anchors the rise without binding.

Wide cropped leg. The leg opens out below the hip and stops well short of the ankle. That extra width lets air move through the hem while keeping the cloth away from your calves as you walk.
Drawstring waistband. We set a wide elastic band at the top and threaded it with an adjustable cord. It sits flat against the waist, so the trousers stay in place through a full day of movement.
Side pockets. Two slash pockets sit along the side seams, deep enough to hold keys or a phone without pulling the waistband down. We lined them flat to keep bulk off the hips.
Rust red shade. This rust red brings a muted, earthy tone to the smooth stretch knit. Machine wash the pair on a gentle cold cycle with like colours, then hang or lay flat to dry.
