We cut these gaucho pants with generous width through the lower leg to keep the cropped hem moving freely. The fabric has built-in stretch and a soft finish on the skin. An elastic channel at the waist adjusts with a matching tie.

Wide cropped leg. The leg opens wide from the hip down and finishes at a cropped length. That extra room lets air move around the calves without catching when you walk or sit.
Adjustable drawstring waistband. We set a wide elastic band at the top and threaded a tonal drawstring through the front. It rests flat against the waist and holds without pinching.
Slanted side pockets. Two deep pockets sit right along the side seams. We stitched them flat so they carry small everyday items without bulging out the line of the hip.
Dark gray knit. The dark gray fabric has a brushed hand and substantial give. Wash it on a gentle cycle in cold water and line dry to keep the stretch intact.
