We cut these everyday trousers from medium-wale corduroy in army green, then set contrasting plaid panels down the outer legs. The barrel shape bows out gently through the knee before tapering toward the ankle. A wide elastic waistband with a matching pull cord keeps the rise easy and resting where you want.

Barrel leg silhouette. The cut bows outward along the mid-leg to build volume through the calf, then tapers slightly back toward the hem. This shape keeps the heavier corduroy fabric moving freely around your knees without dragging along the ground.
Plaid patchwork panels. Woven plaid inserts run down both outer side seams, breaking up the solid army green wales. The pieced construction is stitched flat so the outer line stays smooth against the leg, giving the wide profile clean vertical contrast.
Drawstring elastic waistband. An enclosed elastic band circles the entire top edge so the high rise sits naturally on your waist. We added an adjustable matching cord through the front, letting you tighten or loosen the gathered fabric throughout the day.
Cold water washing. Wash these pants in cold water on a gentle cycle to protect the corduroy ribs and the flat seams around the plaid inserts. Tumble dry on a low heat setting, or hang them flat by the hem.
