We cut these corduroy trousers with an outward-curving barrel leg and a wide, fold-over ribbed waistband that sits flat without digging. The mid-weight ribbed cotton holds warmth for cooler days while maintaining an easy drape. A dark maple leaf print breaks up the black ground across the roomy front pockets and tapered ankles.

• Fold over ribbed waist. We use a wide ribbed knit band that folds over at the waist. It stretches easily, sits smoothly against the midsection, and holds the trousers up without drawstrings or hardware.
• Curved barrel leg. The leg bows outward from the thigh and tapers inward at the ankle. This shape gives you extra room through the knee while keeping the hem neat around your shoes.
