We cut these loose barrel trousers from a soft ribbed corduroy that holds warmth when the weather turns cool. The waistband gathers into deep pleats for an easy fit around the middle, dropping into a wide, relaxed harem shape. A cropped hem with side slits lets the fabric clear your shoes.

• Elastic gathered waist. The waist uses a wide elastic band that pulls on without hardware. Gathered pleats around the top release directly into the hips, giving the cut its room without pulling across the seat.
• Dropped crotch shape. We shaped the rise low and curved the legs outward through the thigh before tapering back toward the ankle. This barrel cut keeps the fabric loose around your knees as you move.
• Side seam pockets. Two deep side pockets sit along the outer seams. We stitched them flat into the corduroy so they hold small essentials without bulging outward when your hands rest inside them.
• Washing and care. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle or hand wash to protect the ribbed corduroy texture. Tumble dry on low heat or hang dry, and press with a low iron if needed. Do not use bleach.
