We cut these loose barrel trousers from a soft, ridged corduroy patterned in beige and black dots. The elastic waist pulls straight on with small gathered pleats that release fullness down the leg, while a dropped crotch keeps the seat entirely unconstructed. Slit hems finish the cropped leg so the cloth clears your shoes.

• Gathered elastic waist. The wide waistband holds with an internal elastic channel that gathers the top edge into small pleats. It pulls on without fasteners, sitting easily across the hips without digging in when you sit.
• Low crotch barrel leg. We built this cut with extra room through the thigh and a dropped crotch. The volume arcs outward like a barrel, then draws slightly back in toward the bottom before opening at the side slits.
• Dotted corduroy cloth. The fabric has raised cords that trap warm air during cooler months. Printed with an allover beige and black dot pattern, the weave softens after washing while keeping its tactile, ribbed surface.
• Side pockets and care. Two deep side pockets sit along the seam line to take a phone or keys without pulling the shape down. Machine wash gently, dry on low heat, and press with a warm iron if needed.
