We built this piece around two gathered tiers over an integrated short. The light pink fabric is airy and opaque, falling away from a wide elastic waistband that sits high on the waist. It gives the swing of a short skirt with the practical coverage of a pair of shorts underneath.

• Tiered outer skirt. Two gathered ruffles drape over the front and back to create soft volume. The double layer moves freely while keeping the inner construction hidden.
• Integrated inner short. We stitched a fitted short directly into the waistband beneath the tiers. It stays in place during movement and provides solid coverage under the light pink cloth.
• Elastic high waist. A wide band of gathered elastic pulls on easily and anchors the rise high on the torso. It holds without rigid hardware or pinch points.
• Fabric and wash care. The woven cloth is light and fully lined to stay opaque in bright daylight. Machine wash cold with similar pale tones and hang to dry.
