We cut this mini skort with two ruffled tiers over an inner knit short. The high elastic waistband sits flat without hardware, letting the gathered outer layer flare freely. The gray green cloth is lightweight and opaque, so it stays cool on warm days without showing through.

Tiered ruffle outer. Two gathered tiers flare out from the waistband down to the hem. The cut gives the volume of a short skirt while remaining light enough to catch air on the move.
Built-in inner shorts. Underneath the ruffled shell sits a close-fitting inner short. The liner stays in place during walking or stretching, providing full coverage beneath the flared tiers.
Elastic high waistband. The wide elastic band stretches easily and holds its place at the natural waist. We skipped zippers and buttons to keep the waistline smooth and quick to pull on.
