We cut these autumn trousers from ribbed corduroy in a deep caramel shade. The mid-rise waist pulls on with an elastic channel and matching drawcord. Down the sides, curved outer seams bow outward through the knee before tapering in at the hem.

• Barrel leg cut. The legs curve out wide through the calf and pull back inward above the ankle. That rounded silhouette gives the ribbed corduroy room to drape without pooling underfoot.
• Patchwork pockets. We set deep patch pockets onto both hips using a contrasting plaid linen blend. Folded tops and stitched button details anchor the pockets flat against the heavy corduroy base.
