We built this sleeveless one-piece for warm weather movement. The outer layer hangs loose like a short swing dress, while knit shorts stay attached underneath at the waist seam. Deep patch pockets sit flat on the front hips to hold small items while you walk.

• Inner shorts layer. We set a pair of soft knit shorts directly inside the dress. They sit quiet beneath the skirt hem, anchored at the interior seams so the outer fabric moves freely over them without pulling.
• Front patch pockets. Large open patch pockets sit squarely across the front of the skirt. We stitch them flat with double needle seams so they hold a phone, keys, or a ball without dragging the neckline down.
• Spaghetti strap top. The bodice cuts into a simple V-neck held by narrow shoulder straps. It leaves the arms and shoulders open, relying on the stretch in the knit fabric to sit flush against the chest without binding.
• Light heather wash. Heather Light Gray mixes pale ash and white yarns for a soft, matte surface. Wash this piece cold with similar light colours, skip the bleach, and tumble dry on low to preserve the stretch recovery.
