We cut these palazzo trousers wide through the hip and thigh so the linen blend falls straight to the floor. The waistband combines a gathered elastic channel with a functional drawstring. It sits easy at the natural waist without pinching.

• Wide palazzo cut. The legs run straight and broad from the hip down to the hem. That width gives the linen blend space to move and vent heat while you walk, pooling slightly over flat shoes.
• Gathered drawstring waist. We built the waistband with an internal elastic band gathered into small ridges, then threaded a flat cord through the front. You can tighten or loosen the rise as the day goes on.
• Side seam pockets. Two pockets sit right on the outer side seams. We anchored the bags so they lie flat against the hip when empty and do not pull the stripe pattern out of line.
• Linen blend care. Wash cold or warm on a gentle cycle, or wash by hand. Hang them on a line to dry instead of using machine heat, then steam out the deeper creases while the cloth is damp.
