We cut these cropped harem pants with a generous balloon leg that bows out through the calf and pulls back in above the ankle. The cotton linen blend has a dry, woven hand that softens as you wash it. Light purple yarn-dyed plaid gives the loose shape clear structure without adding weight.

• Gathered drawstring waist. We set a broad elastic band into the waist and ran a matching flat drawstring through the channel. It anchors firmly across your hips without binding or rolling when you sit.
