We cut these cropped pants with a balloon silhouette that rounds out through the thigh and tapers lightly toward the hem. The cotton linen blend has a dry, open hand that lets heat escape. An elastic waistband with a flat drawstring keeps the rise where you set it.

• Cotton linen weave. The cotton linen blend combines the structure of flax with the softness of spun cotton. It arrives with a slubbed texture that breaks in and softens each time you wash it.
• Barrel leg shape. We gave the legs a wide harem profile that bows outward through the calves before gathering slightly above the ankle. The volume stays off the skin without dragging underfoot.
• Drawstring elastic waist. A broad gathered waistband pulls on without hardware. We threaded an adjustable cord through the casing so you can loosen or tighten the fit across the midsection.
