We cut these with a generous balloon leg that bows outward through the calf and settles loosely toward the shoe. The cotton-linen weave vents warmth while keeping enough body to hold the plaid pattern straight. An elastic waistband with a matching tie keeps the fit easy across the hips.

  • Cotton linen grid. The green and white plaid is woven into a light cotton and linen blend. It carries a dry, textured hand that softens with each wash and allows steady airflow.
  • Balloon leg shape. We gave these a relaxed harem profile with a dropped rise and side volume that curves inward near the hem. The cut stays well clear of the knee.
  • Drawstring waist. A gathered elastic band circles the entire top edge, anchored by an adjustable front tie. It pulls on quickly and sits flat without pinching the waist.
  • Wash and care. Wash by hand or on a gentle machine cycle in cool water. Hang them on a line to dry and press with steam to relax the natural creases.
