We cut these palazzo pants from a lightweight linen blend with plenty of room through the leg. The waistband uses an elastic channel anchored by a self drawstring so the rise stays put. At the ankle, gathered ties pull the hem into a soft ruffle that hangs clear of the floor.

Ruffle hem ties. Elastic cords gather the cuff above the ankle to form a small flared ruffle. This keeps the wide palazzo sweep up off the ground and shows the line of your shoe.
Drawstring waistband. We built the high waist with an elastic core and an external tie. You can cinch the band tight or let it rest lower on the hips without losing the drape.
Linen blend drape. The lightweight linen blend allows air through the weave while holding the wide cut off the skin. It softens as you wash it and keeps a natural relaxed wrinkle.
Side pockets and care. Two side pockets sit flat along the hip seam for small items. Wash on a gentle cold cycle, skip the dryer, and hang them up to dry so the linen keeps its shape.
