We cut these loose palazzo trousers from a lightweight linen blend dyed a clear, sunny yellow. The mid-rise waist uses an elastic band backed by an exterior drawstring, and the legs fall straight down to split ankle hems that vent heat as you walk. Two inset pockets sit along the side seams.

• Bright yellow weave. The linen blend fabric brings an open weave and natural slub texture to a vivid yellow dye. It softens with each wash, holding enough weight to let the wide legs hang straight without clinging.
• Drawstring mid rise. We built the waistband with a flat elastic channel and an adjustable drawcord so you can settle the rise where it feels right. The cut stays loose through the hips and seat.
• Split hem leg. The leg runs wide from the upper thigh down to the ankle. Side slits at the bottom hem open up the cut, giving the fabric extra movement over sandals or bare feet.
