We cut these loose through the seat and thigh with a generous wide-leg shape that borrows room from a harem pattern. The high waist sits on a soft elastic channel with an adjustable drawcord. Woven from a light linen blend, the cloth softens with wear and lets air through on warm days.

• Sun floral print. The Sun Floral 17 print is applied directly to the linen blend base. The pattern breaks across the wide panels of the leg without stiffening the weave or interrupting the natural drape of the cloth.
• Elastic drawstring waistband. We gathered the top edge into an elastic casing and threaded a matching drawcord through the front. The waistband stays put high on the hips without biting or rolling over when you sit.
• Harem volume and pockets. Deep side pockets drop slightly down the outer seam, adding ease to the hip line. The leg falls wide and straight from the upper thigh down to a clean, flat hem that clears the ground.
• Wash and air dry. Wash on a gentle cycle in cool or lukewarm water, or wash by hand. Hang the pants to dry away from high heat. A quick pass with a steam iron will smooth out hard packing creases.
