We cut these loose through the rise and seat, borrowing the generous drape of a palazzo pant and the lower line of a harem cut. The lightweight linen blend moves easily and lets heat escape. A drawstring sits over the elastic waistband to keep the fit secure.

• Harem palazzo leg. The leg begins wide at the hip and keeps its volume all the way down. That extra width keeps fabric off the skin so air moves freely through the garment as you walk.
• Drawstring waistband. We anchored an adjustable drawcord inside a wide elastic waistband. You can pull it tight or wear it lower on the hips without the band rolling over or pinching.
• Dropped side pockets. Two deep side pockets sit slightly lower along the outer seam. They hold small daily items securely without pulling on the wide front panels of the pants.
• Linen blend care. The painted navy leaf pattern is set into a lightweight linen blend cloth. Hand wash or run a gentle machine cycle, skip the tumble dryer, and hang the pants to air dry.
