We cut these cropped pants wide through the thigh and calf to give the linen blend room to move. The Caramel Gypsophila Leopard print runs across a lightweight weave that softens with washing. An elastic waistband with a front tie holds the high rise securely without binding.

• Lace hem band. The lower hem finishes with a band of inset lace. It leaves the cropped edge open and adds weight to the bottom of the wide leg so the cloth falls straight instead of bunching at the calf.
• Drawstring waistband. We gathered the top edge on a wide band of elastic and threaded it with a self-fabric drawcord. You can tie it to set your own tension around the high waist, while the gathers release directly into the hip.
• Linen rayon weave. The fabric combines linen for an open, airy weave with rayon for a softer drape and less stiffness. The cloth vents heat on warm days, gains texture as it wrinkles, and softens further after each cycle in the wash.
• Washing and care. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle to protect the open lace border. We recommend line drying or a low tumble dry to keep the hem flat and preserve the strength of the woven fibers.
