We cut these black pants with generous width through the hips and a dropped rise that settles into a loose harem shape. The linen and rayon weave stays light, with the rayon adding weight so the fabric falls straight down. Deep pouch pockets are sewn directly into the front seams.

• Drawstring waist. An elastic waistband holds the top securely while a matching self-fabric cord lets you cinch the fit. It sits flat across the front and pulls on without zips or buttons.
