We cut these pants with a dropped rise and ample room through the seat and thighs. Small pleats at the knee shape the barrel leg before it tapers toward the ankle. The linen and rayon weave stays light in warm air, dyed here in an earthy mid coffee tone.

• Elastic waist and tie. We gathered the waist on a wide elastic band and threaded an exterior drawstring through the front. It sits high and holds without pinching.
